Registration Policies

Out of District (OD) Fee Policy:

Residents who live outside of the SOAR Recreation District boundaries are encouraged to participate in all programs. However, since out of district residents do not pay property taxes to support the SOAR Recreation District, they will be charged an additional fee: A) One day programs = $5.00 OD fee B) Two or more day programs = $10.00 OD fee If you need help determining if you live outside the SOAR Recreation District please call us at 549-2091.
 

Credits and Refunds:

If your plans change and you cannot attend a program please notify us as soon as possible. Refunds and credits are readily granted for: A) Programs that we cancel for lack of registration B) 100% refund is given if you notify us 5 days in advance C) 50% refund is given if you notify us 3-4 days in advance D) No credits or refunds will be issued when we are notified 2 days or less from the start of the program E) Program fees are not refunded or prorated for participants who miss portions of programs Refunds will be credited to your account and can be used for other SOAR programs or upon request; we can prepare a refund check for you. There is a $5.00 processing fee for refund checks and they may take up to 3 weeks to process. If you register on-line a cancel a program the registration processing/convenience fee is NOT refundable.
 

No News is Good News:

Unless you hear from us, go to your program or activity. We will call you if: A) The program is cancelled B) There is a change in the program C) The program is full
 

Check Policy:

If your check is returned to us, you will be asked to replace the check with cash, a cashiers check, or a money order plus a $20.00 processing fee.
 

Fee Assistance:

If you need assistance with program registration fees please call the SOAR Community Center at 549-2091. We can set up payment plans and we have some scholarship funds available for families that qualify for assistance.
