WOLFTREE ADVENTURES
Wolftree Central Oregon - Since 1994, Wolftree has been
regarded as one of the premiere providers of outdoor science
and natural history education in the Pacific Northwest.
Wolftree is a charitable non-profit corporation whose mission
is to increase science and geographic literacy through
innovative science education, ecological research, and
ecosystem restoration.
Wolftree accomplishes the education component of their mission
through the design and delivery of cutting edge, hands-on
science programs that accommodate the full range of learning
abilities and cultures. Guided by professional biologists and
equipped with contemporary science techniques, Wolftree
participants intensely study the streams and forests of the
Pacific Northwest and are empowered with a deeper understanding
of watersheds. In central Oregon, Wolftree is based in Sisters
and annually serves over 1,000 students, 30 teachers and 30
schools.
Blake Lowrey
Blake grew up in Denver, Colorado with the pleasure of spending
as much time as possible skiing and hiking in the Colorado
Rockies. He traveled throughout southern Utah climbing and
backpacking as he continued to develop his passion for the
outdoors. This passion eventually lead him to Prescott College
in Arizona where he received a degree in Environmental Studies
and a minor in Education. Currently Blake works as Program
Director of Wolftree in the Central Oregon office and can be
found fishing on the Deschutes or climbing throughout the state
during his spare time.
Ashley Burry-Trice
Born in Big Sur, Ashley's first experiences as a youngster were
shaped amidst the rugged coast and mountains of California.
After graduating High School in Portland, Oregon she attended
the University of Montana where she received a degree in
Environmental Studies. Before taking her current position as
Program Manager at Wolftree, Ashley worked with a variety of
science, research, and educational institutions throughout the
west. When not working, Ashley can be found climbing sandstone
spires in the desert southwest or running around with her
yellow lab Ella May.
