Art Workshops for Youth, Teens and Adults
We are pleased to present this incredible set of Art Workshops
in partnership with Sandy Mayernik of Creative Resource
Foundation. Sandy has organized a full set of workshops for
"artists" of all ages instructed by Central Oregon artists.
Discover your creative self and join us for these wonderful
programs.
PKS Kickboxing
Age 14 to adult, men & women PKS (Punch, Kick, and Sweat) kickboxing is a conditioning program that incorporates basic martial arts techniques into a 1-hour workout set to high energy music, building stamina and working your entire body. Classes are co-ed and all levels are welcome.
Adult Hiking Program
Adults
Join us for some wonderful hikes around Central Oregon. We'll
soak up some sun and scenery on these easy to moderate length
hikes (between 3 -6 miles).
This is a great program if you are new to the area, want to
get some exercise or just enjoy a day with fellow hikers.

Times: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Fees: $5.00 per day, transportation provided
Location: Meet at the SOAR Community Center
What to Bring:
Dress for the weather, good walking shoes or boots (whichever
is most comfortable for you), lunch, water, insect repellent
and sun screen.
Hike Locations and Description:
We will be hiking in the Central Oregon area, on trails with
varied terrain. The hikes will be in the easy to moderate
range, 3-6 miles round trip, with elevation changes. The pace
will be relaxed, but steady with water and lunch breaks.
Usually about 2-3 hours of hiking.
Registration & Fees:
Please register at the SOAR Community Center or by calling
549-2091. You will need to fill out a registration form at the
time of registration. The $5.00 per day fee can be paid on the
days you attend.
Women's Snowshoeing/Hiking Group
Beginning to Intermediate level women's snowshoeing/hiking
group. Learn the basics of snowshoeing while enjoying a guilded
hike through the surrounding Sisters area, as well as enjoying
the company of local women from our community! Join us the 2nd
and 4th Saturday of each month for a day trip into the serene
beauty of winter in the cascades!
Bring a sack lunch, transportation provided.
