Sisters Trail Committee Dedicates Tollgate Trail
On December 2, 2006 The Sisters Trails Committee dedicated the Tollgate Trail which connects the Tollgate neighborhood with the Sisters High School. The trails $50,000.00 budget was almost completely covered by donated materials and labor. Sisters Little League Fields
November 8, 2006 Sisters Little League volunteers poured dugouts and bleachers at the two new baseball fields next to the SOAR Community Center. Kirby Nagelhout Construction donated a day of their time and talents to pour and finish over 2,000 square feet of cement slabs. The next step in the project it put up the chain link fence and backstops. The group is looking volunteers to help finish the project so that the fields will be ready for plan in the spring of 2007. Disc Golf Course Opens
A new 18 hole Disc Golf Course is now open in Sisters.
The course located next to the SOAR Community Center and is
open all the time. There is no charge for playing the course.
Kathy Kemper Green, community volunteer, planned and
coordinated the project and raised money from local businesses
and donors. Course maps are available at the SOAR Community
Center. Contributors to the project include:

SOAR TEEN CENTER MAKEOVER
In September of 2006 the SOAR Teen Center Makeover project was completed giving Sisters area teenagers a new, updated place to gather. The project, coordinated by Foundations That Make a Difference, was paid for with donations of money, materials and labor. Let's Make a Space designed and built the new center. Sisters Skatepark Opens
May, 2006: The new skate park at the SOAR Community Center opened this spring with the help of many individuals and businesses. The park consists of several ramps and street skating features. The park is open all the time and there is no fee to use it. This is the first phase of the park and in the future a poured concrete park is being planned. Contributors include:
